ZEBRA KAGEL is ideal for groups of up to 60 people. The focus is on children’s and youth groups, as well as seminars and educational projects of all kinds.
The TIME OUT accommodation building features 4-bed rooms with handcrafted bunk beds made of natural wood. Guests can bring their own bed linen or rent it from us for an additional fee of €5 per person. There are sanitary facilities with sinks, showers, and toilets on both the ground floor and the upper floor.
The minimum booking period is two nights.
For small groups of up to 10 people, the self-catering kitchen in the accommodation building is available, equipped with two refrigerators, a stove, and a microwave.
For groups of more than 10 people, there is a large self-catering kitchen fully equipped with everything necessary.
The large hall can be rented for events with up to 80 people, provided at least two overnight stays for a minimum of 20 people are booked at the same time. The hall is equipped with a sound system, a grand piano, and plenty of tables and chairs.
Our beautifully furnished dining rooms accommodate up to 40 people.
Our seminar room Salon Rouge in the ArtHouse is equipped with tables, chairs, a large blackboard, flipchart, sofas and armchairs, exercise mats, and a piano.
The ArtHouse also features a reception room, a small art workshop, a logistics room with internet access and a printer for group leaders, as well as various other rooms that can be used for project work.
Outdoors, you’ll find a large campfire area, garden furniture, a swing, a seesaw, wooden sports equipment, and lots of nature. The nearest swimming area at Lake Elsensee is about a 10-minute walk away.
The bungalows offer table tennis, table football (foosball), carom billiards, and darts. Information about the tipi village with an outdoor kitchen, as well as outdoor toilet and shower — operated by our partner Frank Kutsche on the ZEBRA KAGEL grounds and offering space for up to 25 people — can be found at the following link: https://www.facebook.com/Wissensbude/.
Frank Kutsche also offers raft-building projects, canoe trips on Lake Elsensee, and nature experience hikes by arrangement.
Discover rural diversity
The area surrounding ZEBRA KAGEL offers numerous possibilities for activities, for making new experiences and for exploring the diversity of the local area. The immediate environment offers several crystal-clear lakes for swimming as well as hiking trails and bicycle tours through the surrounding forests. The European cycle route R1 leads through Kagel, while a series of art installations can be found along the River Spree cycle track between Hangelsberg and Fürstenwalde. Also nearby is a forest climbing park in Grünheide, the Museum Park in Rüdersdorf, home to the historic mining and lime works and the ostrich farm in Kagel. The local area also offers activities such as boating on the lakes, paddling on the river Spree, fishing in Klein Wall and much more.
The many local village festivals held in the region have their own character and charm. For example, the Sound and Light Festival in Kagel, which takes place on the village square every summer, and the local Christmas market, attract increasing numbers of visitors from near and far.
